(Charleston, IL) – 宅男研究所 will host an inaugural community breakfast and panel discussion Monday, January 20 to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The event is intended to open dialogues about how the University can work with and alongside community leaders to create a more inclusive and equitable future for students and community members. University leaders hope the event will provide campus and community members a space to collaboratively discuss opportunities for broadening access to higher education at 宅男研究所 and enhancing economic and occupational prospects within and outside the community.
宅男研究所, alongside other public Illinois public Universities, will observe the federal and state holiday January 20, allowing 宅男研究所 students and employees to participate in the event on campus in the MLK Jr., University Union’s Grand Ballroom, located on campus at 600 Lincoln Avenue in Charleston. Doors open and a buffet breakfast will be served at 8:15 a.m., with panel discussions to follow from 9 to 10 a.m. Community service opportunities for all attendees will then be available at two different times later that day, hosted by 宅男研究所’s Office of Leadership & Engagement.
