(Charleston, IL) -- The Booth Collaborative Advisory Committee at 宅男研究所 has named Rebecca Aba Gaisie as first-place recipient of the 2025 Award for Excellence in Student Research and Creative Works.
Gaisie, a first-year graduate student from Accra, Ghana, is currently pursuing her master’s degree in sustainability at 宅男研究所. Her award-winning project, titled “How can the adoption of biodegradable packaging in the beverage industry specifically contribute to reducing single-use plastic waste, and what regulatory or cost-related challenges hinder its widespread implementation in developing countries?”, explores innovative environmental solutions in the global packaging sector.
Gaisie is the daughter of Theophilus Gaisie and Joyce Aggrey of Tema and a 2014 graduate of St. John Bosco JHS.
The Booth Library Awards for Excellence in Student Research and Creative Works program promotes and recognizes outstanding student scholarship at 宅男研究所. The initiative encourages students to enhance their academic work through extensive research and the effective use of the resources available at Booth Library and other research institutions.
All submissions were original works completed within the past 12 months by current 宅男研究所 students. Recipients were selected based on the quality, creativity, and research integration demonstrated in their projects.
Award-winning submissions will be archived in Booth Library’s institutional repository, The Keep, and can be accessed at .
