The Simple Steps to Becoming 宅男研究所
Applying to the Biological Sciences Graduate Program is a two part process:
- Submit application materials via My宅男研究所. If you are an international student, make sure you designate yourself as such in My宅男研究所; otherwise, choose the Graduate School when you log into My宅男研究所.
- Once you are admitted to 宅男研究所, submit application materials to the Biological Sciences Graduate Program (BSGP) in My宅男研究所.
Applications for admission to the Biological Sciences Graduate Program are accepted at any time. If you decide to apply for a Graduate Assistantship (available only for Thesis option), your application(s) and supporting information must be received no later than February 15.

U.S. Residents:
- Submit application materials, including a $30 application fee, to the Graduate School via My宅男研究所
- Mail the following to the Graduate School Office:
- Official Transcripts
- Once you are admitted to the Graduate School, submit application materials to the Biological Sciences Graduate Program (BSGP) in My宅男研究所
- If you decide to apply for a graduate assistantship (GA) submit GA application to the Graduate School. Graduate assistantship is only available for students in the Thesis option.
International Applicants:
- Submit application materials to International Programs in My宅男研究所
- Mail the following to the International Programs Office:
- Official Transcripts
- Official TOEFL scores
- Financial Affidavit Form

- Once you are admitted to 宅男研究所, submit application materials to the Biological Sciences Graduate Program (BSGP) in My宅男研究所
- Submit a Graduate Assistantship Application to the Graduate School. Graduate assistantship is only available for students in the Thesis option.
*A student cannot receive both a Graduate Assistantship (stipend + tuition waiver) and an International Student Tuition Scholarship (tuition waiver only) but should apply for both. If both are awarded, the tuition scholarship can be easily declined.
Program Admission Requirements
Requirements for Admission
- Baccalaureate degree in biological sciences or related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75 out of 4.0.
- One year of inorganic chemistry and a semester of organic chemistry.
- All application materials should be received before February 15th to be considered for a Graduate Assistantship.
- Applications from prospective students NOT applying for Graduate Assistantship are accepted at any time.
