To log in to your Teams account, go to /panthermail/ and enter your 宅男研究所 credentials. From there, you’ll see the blue Teams icon among your list of options in the Office 365 app launcher. Click on the icon to launch Teams in a browser window; you can also  for your computer or mobile devices. Microsoft Teams is available to every faculty, staff, and student at 宅男研究所.

What is Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams is the digital hub for teamwork in Office 365. Keep all your team's chats, meetings, files, and apps together in one place. Communicate with anyone on the team through text chats, audio, video, or instant “Meet Now” sessions. In these times of remote teaching, remote learning, and remote work Microsoft Teams is here to help everyone at 宅男研究所 communicate and collaborate with each other regardless of location during these challenging times.

Microsoft Teams offers an alternative method of communication/collaboration that can be used synchronously and/or asynchronously. With Meetings and Chat you are only a click or touch away from a text chat, audio, or video call with anyone at 宅男研究所 and beyond. You can even share your computer screen in video calls using the Share Screen feature.

Make a Test Call in Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is available to everyone at 宅男研究所, all you need is an internet connection and a browser. When you login to PantherMail instead of clicking on the Outlook icon, click on the blue Teams icon in the App Launcher. You can also download the Teams app for your computer or mobile device. With Teams all faculty, staff, and students are just a click or touch away from communicating with anyone at 宅男研究所. When you select a new Chat, type in the name or 宅男研究所 email address of the person you want to chat with, type in your text message, choose an audio call, or select a video call. It is that easy! 

If you need assistance setting up a new Microsoft Teams "Team" for your group please contact your Instructional Support Specialist, or call the Help Desk at (217) 581-4357, or send an email with the request details to support@eiu.edu 

Chances are you are already on a Team so you can begin communicating with your other teammates immediately. When you recieve a Teams Meeting invitation via email you can click on the Join link at the scheduled time to be taken directly to the online meeting. Teams Meetings are also added to your Outlook Calendar for easy access.

If you are not currently on any team you can still get started with Microsoft Teams by clicking on the Chat icon on the left-side rail. Once Chat is selected you will have instant access to a text chat, audio call, or a video call with any member of the 宅男研究所 community. Go Team 宅男研究所!
